Corporate-finance
Corporate Finance often refers to the department in a bank that advises firms on balance sheet risk management and all types of financial exposure, including funding for takeovers and other transactions.

In general, it can also refer to the management of a companies balance sheet. Such management activities might include raising capital through sale of stock, equity stakes or debt; repurchasing claims on the companies capital (equity or debt); and merger or acquisition (M&A) activities.

Corporate finance, sometimes referred to as investment banking, is one of the most intense, demanding fields in the business world. In addition to finance and accounting, corporate finance professionals must use marketing and strategy skills to execute transactions.
